Case of Animal Maltreatment Cracked in Southwest China
CHENGDU, April 12 (Xinhua) --
A large number of mistreated wildlife were discovered Friday by police in southwest China's Sichuan Province. About 100 wild animals including African lions, macaque monkeys, green peacocks, mandarin ducks and cobras were discovered in locked cages, some bound by ropes and some trapped in nets, when police searched a small zoo in Jianyang city.
Tourists could pay to take pictures with these wild animals, according to Zhou Ming, staff of the zoo, which was opened nearly a year ago. The zoo lacks the required license and will likely be fined for illegally keeping and using wild animals, said local police.
The case is still under investigation.

Cracked Zoo is my example of experimenting with the Baked Earth Filter. Not exactly sure how I came up with 'Cracked Zoo' as the title, however, China was gracious enough to provide an article that almost fit the occasion. The first Clown image I created in the Vectors2 class and having spent so much time creating that Bad Boy it was time to recycle!
