![]() Exercise 1 - Bringing image to PS from 'The Bridge' Setting the workspace in the Bridge seemed a bit awkward since I've never used it before :) |
I chose the 'Clouds' filter on a duplicate layer so I could reduce the opacity a bit - too many clouds without adding another layer. |
![]() Inserting Another Image into current project as a Smart Object Knowing how to use images as Smart Objects is extremely enlightening - Thanks!! With Smart Objects, you can: Perform nondestructive transforms. You can scale, rotate, or warp a layer without losing original image data or quality because the transforms don't affect the original data. Go File>Place Hit your Enter Key to apply the Place command. Photoshop places the object as a Smart Object. |

Editing Smart Objects - original![]() |
![]() Using the Magnetic Lasso Tool to select bloom only - pasted on a new layer -Layer>Smart Objects>Convert to Smart Object then Layer>Smart Objects>Edit Contents clicked the New Adjustment Layer using Photo Filter I used Magenta with 89% Density |
| Retouching with Smart Objects this appears to be for CS3 users only - but I wanted to try with CS2 in CS 2 I duplicated the layer and clicked Layer-> Smart Object -> Group into Into New Smart Object Blah ... Blah ... Blah!! That did not work, an hour later and I couldn't find any tools that would allow me to utilize this experiment Happy I tried but now I'm moving on :) The puppies are better left as they were!! NOT showing you that image < |

| Special Effects with Smart Objects This adventure is one that I so enjoyed and will use many times as 'my own'. I learned it from you so hopefully plagiarism will not be an issue! :) |

Week 1
|
The bridge is set for now - more use and it will be easier! The EGG exercise was lost and my results were not worthy of the time to recreate :) My family missed my exciting 'slideshow' *Darn! ya snooze ya lose* |
| I read all the material you offered numerous times (the amount of times I've read it has nothing to do with your presentation of this lesson - just my inability to comprehend) so my results posted could be less than you expect *sigh* So........ "Put On Your Big Girl Panties and Deal With It" :) Lesson 1 for me is complete!!! |
|
| Thanks Vikki and Sonja - another extraordinary lesson!!! | |
