"Painting is poetry which is seen and not heard,
and poetry is a painting which is heard and not seen."
- Leonardo Da Vinci
This is a Fractal Image that was Framed twice using a 'frame plugin' filter from Filter Factory Gallery. The image on the left is the image that I used for my Border and my Week 5 Header. For the border I opened a transparent canvas 100 X 600 and flood filled it with that image as my pattern. For the header I just left it as the background fill with a Black stroke.
Figuring out how to get that Plugin Commander from http://www.dizteq.com/joestuff/filter.html to convert those plugins was another whole lesson within itself, BUT the tutorials there are wonderful and easy to understand even for Da Ditzy Vixen -- so if I can do it -- Anyone can --- ok ok ok maybe not my cat -- but he's exceptional anyway :) Thanks Ron and Sally for this Lesson -- It's probably going to be all your fault that we don't spend any time with our families during these upcoming Holidays :) j/k of course
This Radio Button was quite an experience! - To start off with I opened a blank canvas 400 X 400 pixels, 24 bit color with a white background. Now that's just the start of this little Radio Buttons Voyage. Using the Preset Shapes Tool I dragged out a circle using colors of my choice.
Where did I get the colors from you ask? Remember in Week 2 all those gradients we learned how to create? Well, this one was chosen from that adventure! Gradient # 6,126 got the honor of being used for this experience. I got the circle painted then had to decide what filter to use to create this wonderful 'work of art'. After I totally blew up my system with New Folders holding all the amazing filters I found I resorted to using the one suggested in this weeks assignment 'The Toadies' applying the 'Living-Sine circular filter. (I think) The next step was to use a couple of 'Effects' - "Oh! only 2?" - I goofed then because after I applied the Illumination - Sunburst effect in four primary colors I completely lost track of what all else I did to this poor button. I know there's a chance that somebody out there is going to create a page for 'The Ugliest Page Contest' so You are completely welcome to email me for this image file (unless you just want to snag it all by yourself -- cuz there aint no stinking Zip file for it (time is running out on how many things I can learn to do -- my brain is mush now! --- opsssss TMI :)
Next came the assignment that we've all waited on for weeks!
Learning how to not only Create a New Frame but also how to 'Delete' some really pathetic ones that we acquired with our Paint Shop Pro software.
This frame was created using the instructions in this weeks Frame Assignment.
Ya! I bet you're thinking "If this is the Frame I created - Do I really have any that are more disgusting than this?"
Well, just so ya know -- I accepted Sally and Ron's advise and did NOT discard Any yet --- surely my capabilities in creating 'Better Frames' than I currently possess will improve eventually!
This Funny lady wanted so much to have a really special frame but my next attempt at creating a frame started out so Large that I had to reduce the size greatly -- after it was reduced several times all it's real glory was reduced as well :( 'sorry 'bout that' But, having your picture here is better than having it posted in the Post Office, right?
This image came from
'I have no idea'
It's titled Fantasy Moon and I used it to create the 'Fantasy Moon Frame' that surrounds it.This frame was my feeble attempt at using one of the Fractal Magic filters from The Filter Gallery - It was quite a lot of fun actually -- I just failed miserably in finding a suitable image to display in it! My children warned me that if I posted their pictures once more on the internet they would take the necessary steps in disposing of my computer while I slept! Grrrrrrrrrrrr .. They Might!! :)

I created this graphic several months ago and realized that I now had a place to actually use it -- the background was originally set to transparent. After sitting in my miscellaneous images files for such a long time it adopted a BLUE color background -- assuming it was a wasted image it continued to 'just sit' and not be useful at all .... until THIS Lesson when I learned a way to chuck that horrible blue background!! Yipeeeeeeee :)
Optimizing this image did not seem to be an option though -- either in .jpg or .gif. -- it appeared to lose it's lusture so I just saved it normally knowing that time here was quickly running out to get this assignment posted - but I was very happy to learn how to be rid if of that annoying background color.
Merry Christmas to You and Your Family!!
From Da Vixen :)
If'n You are Not in Da Rockin Mood -- just hit 'STOP' I know this Mood is a bit annoying for some :)
