This class has been a very rewarding,
challenging and extremely enlightening experience. Along with sharing a lot of
valuable information, Sara has taught me so much more than just how to manipulate
graphics. Her assignments have been written so well that I actually feel comfortable
being able to apply lots of different effects with the use of the DreamSuite Filters. The two graphic images shown here, the teardrop and music note started out in PSP as nothing more than a white preset shape on a transparent background. |
The music note used the same default but had only a Texture added. From the Auto Fx site I downloaded the Texture UTC2_S_440 and added it as a Custom Map only from the Environment Tab. After several attempts I decided that adding it a second time through the Surface Tab altered it's appearance too drastically. Sorry Sara! You said Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder -- or some such cliche as that. :) |

| Our last assignment was Using DreamSuite Gel to Paint
a Landscape. Starting with a new canvas 500 X 300, white background in
PaintShopPro I opened a seamless tile of a clouds.jpg and using it as a pattern,
flood filled my white background. With the Lasso tool a drew the different landscape
shapes each on a separate layer. Blah! Blah! Blah! ..... I was pleased with the
finished composite enough that I added a couple of Picture Tubes to give it the
illusion of not being just another barren and boring landscape. Thanks Sara!! I am more than looking forward to my next adventure with you in the Instructors Seat. Chihíichalòo (see ya later) |
